Terms of Service
By using atika.app or any of the Atika iOS applications (Atika: Greece Guides, Atika: Israel Guides, and any forthcoming country apps), you agree to these terms.
1. Use of the service
You may use Atika for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not:
- Use the service for illegal purposes
- Attempt to disrupt, hack, or reverse-engineer the service
- Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the service without explicit permission
- Use the data to train competing services without explicit license
- Resell or sublicense access to the service
2. Subscriptions and purchases
Atika iOS apps include in-app purchases:
- Pass, one-time purchase, non-consumable, unlocks named features in perpetuity for the purchasing Apple ID
- Pro, auto-renewable subscription (monthly or annual), unlocks proximity alerts, driving mode, audio narration, and other listed Pro features
Pricing is set per region by Apple. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
3. Refunds
Refunds for in-app purchases are handled by Apple per the App Store policy. Contact reportaproblem.apple.com.
4. Data accuracy
Atika provides archaeological site data on a best-effort basis, sourced from public records (Hellenic Ministry of Culture, Israel Antiquities Authority, OpenStreetMap, Wikidata, academic publications, and others). We do not guarantee accuracy of opening hours, admission prices, current site status, or other variable information. Always verify critical information before traveling. We are not responsible for travel decisions made based on app data.
5. User-generated content
If you submit reviews, check-ins, or other content to Atika:
- You retain ownership of your content
- You grant Atika a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, store, and use the content within the service
- You agree your content does not violate the rights of others or any law
- We may remove content that violates these terms or applicable law
6. Account termination
You may delete your account at any time via Settings in the app. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
7. Changes to the service
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features of the service. Significant changes will be communicated to active users.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Atika disclaims all warranties, express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Atika and its operator shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. Our aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [Jurisdiction], without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of [Jurisdiction].
